The top notes are a vivid reconstruction of the drink itself. The bitterness of wormwood (absinthe) is front and center, paired with the herbal, green crunch of angelica. There is a cooling effect here, almost like menthol or ice. However, this is quickly contrasted by the ‘fire’ in the heart of the perfume. A blend of four spices—pepper, clove, nutmeg, and ginger—ignites the composition, creating a friction between hot and cold that is stimulating to the senses.
